2024年10月27日 · Techo International Airport will be the main airport for commercial flights, while the old airport will be for government and military use. Techo International Airport is 24 km south of the Independence Monument in Phnom Penh city centre. The new airport is in Kandal province, built on former farmland and reclaimed land from a lake.

Located about 30–40 kilometres (16–22 NM; 19–25 mi) south of Phnom Penh, the first phase is expected to be operational by 2025 [6] and will replace the existing Phnom Penh International Airport as the city's main aviation hub. [7]
