2011年3月7日 · Iv been catching this fish that looks like a squawfish but with a carp mouth. what is it? i was thinking it was a peamouth but now after seeing a couple pics it doesn't look the same. almost looks like a small white carp with really small scales. and help?

2009年5月10日 · Most come from the Tualatin river, or the Mac when I fish it, but they were all traditionally swung on a 4/5 wt. Some in more recent times have come on drift fished egg patterns , and other big, ugly Steelhead bugs, but that was just using a fly stick to drift pockets on the Clack, Sandy, Ump, and Santiams.

2020年10月9日 · I think the 3rd one is a pikeminnow (based on mouth size). I think the others are mix of peamouth and chiselmouth. I think picture 5 might be a peamouth (due to stripe) and the same for picture 2. I am guessing chiselmouth for 2 and 4. These are all guesses based on no scientific training.

2011年4月20日 · So today I went out to Sauvies Island and caught 14 peamouths... they are spawning right now so if you just want to fish go out there and hook them. I was at the gilbert river on the bank between the boat ramp and the handicap dock. I was only out there for about 2 hours and it was pretty much non-stop for me.

2011年8月31日 · Lio is spot on, Peamouth Chub, many people (not pointing fingers, I personally know many people) think just because it is silver and not a Trout, it is a Pikeminnow, we have around 100 (ok, closer to 60) species of fish in the Columbia and Willamette, some of which would almost require a biologist to tell the difference.

And the day I need to kill fish that I have no intention of eating will be never. That, and removing native sportfish's food supply...

2013年6月9日 · Not a peamouth. It's a pikeminnow. The pikeminnow has a terminal mouth while the peamouth has a more sub-terminal or inferior mouth position. I work with these guys for a living. Your photo is a pikeminnow in spawning coloration, while the link with the peamouth shows a peamouth in spawning coloration. Don't let the color fool you.
