2023年11月17日 · The format of your New HDD doesn’t matter because the console will erase everything from it and format it in a specific way that makes it readable only by your PS3. So you can remove the Old HDD now from your PS3 and place the New HDD. Prepare a USB Stick with the FW you want to install Root> PS3>UPDATE.

2015年2月3日 · The cmd was saying that it was unable to find PS3. I moved the PS3 HDD Reader entire folder to to C: and it's working perfectly! Also comment that I pressed "Cancel" in the window when Windows tried to initialize my external PS3 connected HDD. I did some research and people say that some Windows 10 and 11 initialize disks automatically.

2019年3月8日 · I converted the raw .img file to a .vmdk to open up with vmware player (free)/workstation, then copied the 1st sector over and was able to read the contents of the vmdk with @aldostools PS3 HDD GUI v1.3 This is how I did it: insert new HDD; Open HD Hacker tool; set Drive to Operate to Physical Drive (MBR) and select the number disk of the PS3

2016年7月11日 · No doubt about that but FYI the ps3 hdd reader tool was actually written by 3141card. Aldo added a GUI + improvements. There was at least 1 other tool that could encrypt & decrypt a ps3 hdd iirc from ifcaro (ps3 hdd toolbox I think it was). There's s also KaKaRoTo's ps3xport to manipulate Sony official backups.

2021年3月22日 · When you put in a new HDD, most PS3 consoles need you to reinstall the firmware, as some of it is stored on the HDD that you removed. 2019年5月17日 · 2) Open “Acronis True Image WD edition” add a new ‘disk’ to your HDD. This is where you will have to make ‘partitions’ on the drive. Create a new partition you will need to create a ‘FAT32 logical’ partition. Don't know why other free tools like minitool partition wizard does not work. glad I found the solution.
