2022年5月29日 · The new Elite is what SIG currently produces. It has the Legion frame (smaller beavertail, high undercut trigger guard). It also wears the E2 grip, but the "Enhanced" has been deleted from the nomenclature. Btw, the P229 Elite pic on SIG's website is that of the old Enhanced Elite (full beavertail), not the new one.

2023年10月6日 · I prefer the elite frames because I find that the shorter, edged "beavertail" of the nitrons on both the P226 and P229 dig into the webbing of my hand and doesn't feel great. The extended beavertail on the elites/legion make that a non-issue.

However, all of the current 9mm P229s (Elite or not) are of the P229-1 variety. As an aside, the greater width of the P229-1 magazine has nothing to do with its increased capacity.

In the past 2 years, an estimated 15K rounds have gone down range in the beater, and 1000 or so rounds on the daily carry (507K). Red dots, plates and pistols working well. 2018年8月2日 · "That P229 is model number E29R-9-SCPN-BRG, which was built 28-AUG-2019. It shipped from the factory with contrast sights (item description = P229, 9MM, 3.9, SCORPION BRG, FDE, DA/SA, CONTRAST, BLK RUBBER GRIP, (2) 15RD STEEL MAG, SRT) and a short reset trigger installed. Hogue black rubber grips were standard.

2023年2月5日 · I don't have the regular Elite, but I believe the major differences are the aesthetics and grips as mentioned, but pics show the beavertail is a little less on the Equinox and the Equinox has the X-ray sights vs the Siglite night sights.
