In probability, does P(A) = P(AB) - Mathematics Stack Exchange
Let A and B be events. It seems to make sense to be that the probability that A occurs is equal to the probability that A and B both occur PLUS the probability that A occurs and B does not.
What is the difference between $P(AB)$ and $P(A|B)$?

How to easily describe the meaning of p(a,b) = p(a|b)p(b)
2011年6月8日 · Understanding this would be a lot easier with Venn Diagrams. The probability of A & B is that little space in the middle, but the probability of A given B is that little space (since it's the only part of B where A is true) divided by the whole of B (since those are the available possibilities given).
Prove: if p is prime and p ∣ ab, then p ∣ a or p ∣ b. [duplicate]

When is P (A and B) = P (A) * P (B) in the conditional probability ...
2020年9月21日 · I think I would do (4/7) * (3/6). P(A and B) is found by multiplying the two. The key thing here is that you are getting the probability $\frac36$ by assuming there are only $6$ marbles remaining and $3$ of them are yellow.
