On August 16, 1944, some 1,090 American bombers took off for airfields, aeronautical and chemical industrial sites located in the heart of Germany. The “Out House Mouse” was part of the “bomber stream”, targeting the Siebel aeronautical plant in Halle. 35 B-17s from the 91st BG took part in the mission.

2019年10月16日 · In 1985 she was sold to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinville, Oregon, where she was returned to her bomber configuration. Said aircraft was purchased by the Collings Foundation in 2015 with the intention of painting her as Outhouse Mouse (42-31636, 91BG) and putting her on tour alongside Nine O’ Nine.

Museum visitors can see the ongoing restoration project of the B-17 Outhouse Mouse. The original Outhouse Mouse was the sister ship to 909; she flew 139 missions over Europe.
