2018年12月8日 · Hello r/army, I arrived at Ft. Benning on July 2, and here we are 22ish weeks later after completing the first cycle of the new Infantry OSUT. Here is what we did and some of my thoughts after its all said and done.
Infantry OSUT : r/army - Reddit
2021年11月19日 · OSUT is like basic for the first 8wks, and then things get a little more relaxed after that- Said every Army recruiter who never went to OSUT. 19 weeks of dick in the dirt! (Infantry feel free to add any where else you think scouts put their dicks) I had Christmas exodus, which made it worse. When we got back, the drills started us off from ...
Changing Infantry OSUT from 22 weeks to 16 weeks. : r/army
Bro, I went through infantry OSUT back in 2021 and they were staying the same shit back then. All the trainees were spreading rumors about them shortening the cycle but it never happened. I wouldn't count on it man. You are probably going to have to do the whole 22 weeks of suck.
Insight Into Life as an IN OSUT PL : r/army - Reddit
2021年3月13日 · If you are an OSUT PL, the best thing you can do is talk to your drill sergeants. Shut up, ask questions, and listen. I have received more mentorship and knowledge from my drill sergeants than I have from any cadre or leader in any course I’ve done in the Army (basic, OCS, IBOLC, Airborne).
What to expect during Infantry OSUT? : r/army - Reddit
2023年9月16日 · Can’t really find much info about the phases in Infantry OSUT. I just graduated Basic, and at least for us 11Bs, AIT seems like Basic training part 2. With occasional weekend passes thrown in. I missed the repel tower, obstacle course (due to injury), and screwed up grenades because my distance wasn’t good.

2023年2月17日 · I broke some bones in OSUT and got to pass through some bullshit fitness evaluation unit for 2 weeks while they decided if I was physically able to jump right back into where I was because of some bullshit push from TRADOC because of too many stress fractures.
Infantry OSUT reducing to 16 weeks? : r/army - Reddit
2022年6月25日 · The longer OSUT doesn’t create a better Infantryman. It just familiarizes them with more stuff. The idea that you can shake’n’bake a complete infantry Soldier that doesn’t need additional training or guidance and is ready for team leader responsibilities right out of the gate is not a realistic expectation of OSUT. 22-weeks is too long ...

2013年9月16日 · In OSUT I believe you will then have gold and black phase, though I'm not 100% on that. Neither are significant and it'll be more like an extended blue phase than anything else. 3. This will depend heavily on what company you are in and your drill sergeants. Generally speaking though OSUT is still an extension of BCT.
OSUT : r/army - Reddit
I would say it is likely not true. But I did 16 week OSUT and there was a lot of downtime. I can only imagine the amount of sitting around for a 22 week OSUT. Honestly, I don’t think the Army takes OSUT that seriously.
Reclass to an OSUT mos : r/army - Reddit
2023年8月27日 · Of course, they run the entire OSUT like basic anyway. If you are an NCO you may be in a separate bay where they leave you alone when you aren't training, so you may not have to deal with basic training BS all the time. This was back during the 14 week OSUT, so I am not sure how it may have changed for the longer 22 week OSUT.
