This issue may also be affecting the shortcuts on myconnection.cox.com. The Cox.com team is working on a permanent solution. The main issue here is that you need to login to your email using the address webmail.cox.net. If you currently have a shortcut to Cox email you need to edit the shortcut to show webmail.cox.net

Most of the read emails in my inbox have vanished today. There were about 50 emails in my inbox this morning, but now only 5 are displayed, recently received. I am in the Santa Barbara CA area. The contents of my other folders seem to be intact.

Apr 15, 2024 · What you are describing (Steve) is my main big concern, losing folders and subfolders in Outlook! I use Outlook also. My email accounts with Cox are due to transition to Yahoo within about 2 weeks. I have 3 email addresses with Cox. I have years of stored folders and subfolders in Outlook for each of those 3 email addresses.

Feb 20, 2024 · When I open Cox email in my browser it used to let me choose which email address to go to, especially to see incoming emails. Now it doesn't, it defaults to one of them. This is on my computer (Windows 10 capable).

Feb 14, 2024 · Install an email client on your PC, Windows Mail or Outlook or BlueMail for desktop, etc, configure the email client to use POP (not IMAP). POP will download all emails located in your Inbox to the PC for storage. Any emails in folders that you have created, that are not in the Inbox, will need to be moved to the Inbox first.

I've been having Cox email problems ever since they "upgraded" the system a couple months ago. Now it's getting worse. Sending an email takes forever. Moving an email to a file takes forever. Forwarding an email takes forever. A person can't do business this way. It'll be time to move to a gmail account soon.

This is happening to me as well. Sent myself an email x 3. Not received. When I try to verify accounts using my email, those emails are received about 30 min to an hour later. Chatted with a "live support person". Changed all the privacy (etc) settings that were recommended but still have not received my emails either in spam or inbox.

May 17, 2024 · As an example, before I transitioned to Yahoo I had over 28,000 items in my Outlook inbox folder for my COX email account. After transitioning and synching with Yahoo, that same folder only had 10,000 items. Logging on to Yahoo directly I verified that all of those emails where still there, but it would only put 10,000 into my Outlook inbox folder.

Our email program is a web-based platform and doesn't support this feature due to the security risk that could arise from leaving it open. You want to use a 3rd party email client for this like Outlook, Thunderbird, etc. - Lisa, Cox Support Forums Moderator
