I do not have Illustrator. How do I open .ai files?
2016年4月14日 · You can't open an AI file if you don't have Illustrator. It might work for files that have been saved with specific options, but then you actually don't open the AI file, but a PDF that is embedded into it. When a file isn't saved with the options needed, then you can't open that file.

On the oldest file: Chalkboard_Bookmarks_old.ai, it was created on my iMac and saved in two different places - on a portable USB drive and also saved on my employer's job server. When I created the most recent file, Chalkboard_bookmarks.ai, I opened up the old file from my hard drive and resaved it in a different folder on that portable hard drive.

2010年6月21日 · 1. Open your first file in illustrator. 2. Create, arrange, and name as many art boards as you need for your files. 3. File > Place. 4. Select all of the illustrator files you want to merge. 5. Click the corners of the art boards in order to place your files. And you're good to go! This is the easiest way I have found to do this.

I followed the suggestions on this thread to open the .aid file, it was trying to open the .aid file on illustrator but then stopped spinning and I watched the file disappear.
