But excluding vacuum, when separating two gasses, they are the same as in real life, only in a dup-size scale, which is barely a problem because for so many things in ONI have a scale that doesn't match reality.

Edit: to make the base lined up with a 16x4 layout, go 8 tiles form the printing pod, and you should have a area of 18 tiles because you need doors, after that make a ladder in the middle of a 3 wide shaft so you can run a pole and a transit tube beside it.
