Thirty-four locomotive remained in Poland after the Second World War, where PKP classified them as Oi2. They served until the last one was withdrawn in 1976. One of the preserved locomotives in Germany, no. 24 083, had been in service in Poland. The locomotives were equipped with 3 T 16 and 3 T 17 tenders.

Oi2s gave useful, if inconspicuous service with light passenger and suburban trains; later some were used as switchers. Withdrawals began in 1968 and last two examples (Oi2-29 and Oi2-31) remained in use until 1976.

Die Lok wurde nach der Ausmusterung im Oktober 1976 durch Anordnung des Verkehrsministeriums dem Eisenbahnmuseum Warschau zugeteilt und zunächst in Ostrów Wielkopolski [Ostrowo] abgestellt.

Oi2-29, 31 Dwa Oi2 zagrały w filmach: Oi2-20 w filmie TVP "Ile jest życia" i Oi2-29 w serialu "Polskie drogi". Oi2-29 został jako ostatnia maszyna tej serii skreślony z inwentarza PKP i 15.10.1976 ustawiony jako pomnik przy MD Zajączkowo Tczewskie.

Oi2-29 (24.092) was ordered by the DRB near the beginning of WWII and was incorporated into the PKP in 1945 and no particular known allocations were registered until 1965 when it was first at Zajaczkowo Tczewskie, then Inowroclaw. In 1970 it moved to Gdynia Grabówek, then again at Zajaczkowo Tczewski.
