Based on a 5 gallon tank of gas, the repair cost of one seized piston would be equal to the added money it would cost for 280 tanks full of 50/50 (100 octane avgas/92 pump gas). Another 96 octane option is a 25% mix of 110 octane race gas with 92 pump.

2010年8月31日 · I pumped out the oil tank and replaced the oil with the right stuff but the engine siezed, (crank bearing failure) early this summer with 152 total hours on it. I replaced it with an SBT remanufactured engine and it runs great. It is extremely fuel efficient and the GTX-DI actually calls for 87 octane, not 91. The RX DI needs 91 octane.

2013年4月30日 · Re: Polaris drive shaft lengths the only one like the octanes are the MSX line all other Polaris shafts are different ,I can measure the msx shft and let you know but there was a guy on greenhulk who just put a msx shaft in his octane and I think it was a 1/4 shorter

2016年5月17日 · I'm really confused why you guys are listening to Chirs Newmiller regarding any kind of head CC to octane ratings. He is the guy that refuted Kawasaki ever making a 550 engine with stock 175-185 PSI compression and with that, rating the engine OK to run 87 octane. I have already posted Kawasaki's literature on this.

2006年5月5日 · My gauge is reading 15psi lower than last year try a couple other gauges and talk to group k for proper compresion requirement with that motor. Stock GP1200 is 120psi pump gas up to 150psi. Ported motor will give lower compression reading but still require higher octane. Also you will get a slightly higher reading with the other plugs in. Octane ratings are used to specify the anti-knocking properties of the fuel. Simply put if your ski doesn't knock you don't need it. Ideally the fuel mixture to air ratio in a normal 4 stroke is 14.7 : 1 Air to Fuel. So if it's designed to run on 87 that's the optimum octane for the engine. \
