OCAD University was founded as the Ontario School of Art in 1876 by the Ontario Society of Artists, and had 14 registered students. In 1912, we were incorporated as the Ontario College of Art (OCA), becoming Canada’s first school dedicated to educating artists.

OCAD University Experimental Animation students can enrol in the following Vancouver Film School Diploma programs in their 3rd year of study for Classical Animation, 3D Animation and VFX, Animation Concept Art, Game Design, and Programming for Web, Mobile and Games.
