Feb 3, 2024 · Nova has a hidden setting that is being enabled for some reason. Go to Nova settings and type "wallpaper" into the search. Then look for and UNCHECK "Force wallpaper scrolling: Allows wallpaper scrolling on older devices that normally don't support it." If you tap the little "info" button, it reads: "This is a hidden setting as it is rarely needed.

I've tried changing it via Nova Launcher, the Google Pixel Wallpaper setting, FStop and Google Photos but to no avail. It just stays black, but the wallpaper clearly has been changed, and you can see the changes represented on the "Wallpaper" settings panel.
