There have been many threads on this subject over the years. If such a regime is used then a basic cheap battery as per original equipment will last quite a few years.

In the end, I drilled a hole in corner of the charging port and ran a quick release 12v cable through it so that I can charge the 12v without opening the hood. 2022年3月11日 · I had the same issue with my 12v battery. I replaced my 2011 LEAFs OEM 12v battery (6 years old at the time) with a Nissan OEM at the dealer. Within a week or so, it died. Jump started the vehicle and drove it back to the dealer. After 2 hours, the dealer said nothing was wrong with the battery that it charged okay and held its charge.

The booster battery can be carried with us in our 6 years old diesel (which may also need a new expensive AGM stop/start battery soon). This thread is for gathering information. I would definitely not get any old battery because a quick search will show you the number of annoying faults caused by dodgy 12V batteries on Leafs. For mine - which was probably about 75% degraded - the car alarm kept going off.
