I do have more problems with it during the winters. I use the stick on insole foot warmers attached to my bottom of my feet onto my socks during the coldest days.

2020年2月9日 · I've found that wearing fleece lined footwear (like Ugg shoes and boots) helps a little. My neurologists thinks it's a form of erythromelalgia associated with the small fiber neuropathy. I also suffer from very cold feet when exposed to cold. I think I prefer the cold to the hot, so I go around barefoot, or wear flip flops, even in the winter.

I found some leather boots by UGS and I wear them even though it is summer. I wear UGS bedroom shoes if I don’t care what people think. I use a heating bad when I go to sleep. I just cope with cold feet.

2024年5月17日 · Prior to this I would occasionally quickly dip my burning feet into cold water and had immediate relief from that. So I decided to go with colder, longer exposure (10-15 min), and possibly build up for Wim's ice baths. Unfortunately, it turned out that longer cold exposure severely aggravated my neuropathy.

2022年9月24日 · I am extremely sensitive to cold, whether it’s from the seasons or inside temperatures. I had to check out of an ER once because the pain from the extreme air conditioning cold after waiting a few hours was worse than what I went there for. I have to really watch my car heat and air year round. So winter is definitely worse.

2022年7月27日 · The Gabapentin eventually was raised up to a good dosage that eased the cold and heat extremes my neuropathy caused. I still have episodes of discomfort - I know to avoid having the A/C vents on at my hands on my steering wheel, use heat on my feet in the car so they don’t get numb, always wear socks, and take lukewarm showers.
