2003年11月30日 · While the word Neanderthal is never used, that is pretty much what he is, and the characters in the books have their suspicions. These are sad books, and will definitely scare you off of trying for that fifth child if you're a parent. They're well-written though. The first is better than the second.

2025年2月1日 · The battle scenes are impressively gory but not for everyone. with limbs torn away, bodies exploding when hit by musket and cannon fire, and hand-to-hand sword fighting remarkably visceral. Like the earlier books, torture is graphically depicted, and with some explicit eviscerations this makes Grave Empire not a read for the faint-hearted.
