I just found this out from the official Narita Airport web page here and it seems pretty important: https://www.narita-airport.jp/en/service/svc_12. Both Terminals 1 and 2 have only one (!) ATM after Passport control and the limit is just 30,000 Yen [so well under $300 US dollars.]
