Feb 6, 2012 · im in the start of making some np231 doubler kits, and was wondering if anyone might be interested in purchasing one.. or a few :thumb: they are based very similar to the current np231 doubler kits out there. 6061-t6 aluminum adapter plates. includes the main plate, clocking ring with clocking every 6 degrees.

Mar 27, 2008 · I have a chance to pick up a 700R4/NP231(passenger side drop) combo out of an '89 K5 Blazer. I want to use it in my '89YJ Jeep project behind a 305 SBC. My problem is that I need a drivers side drop transfer case behind the 700R4 to keep from having to replace my front differential to a passenger side diff.

Aug 5, 2011 · I would consider swapping in a total different t-case setup doubled, but Id really like to find an adapter/kit for the jeep np231-np241, since I have a 241 in my current xj, and I have a 231 in a parts jeep. I just want to build a rig with unlimeted capabilitys, and Ive been wanting to twin-case a jeep since I could remeber.

Sep 18, 2014 · My 1991 s15 Jimmy has a np231c in it, and I can only seem to find other Np231's in Jeeps. I can however, find many np233's in S10's. I was in need of a new vacuum switch for my 4WD, so I went to the local scrapyard and snagged one off a 95 S10, NP233 Tcase.

Apr 9, 2008 · 700R4 and 231C is only about 1" longer then a AX-5231J Add a Extreme short shaft kit and your golden. 700r4's are not electronic and the tranny/t-case combo from a boneyard would only set you back about $300 already mated together.

Apr 13, 2010 · yeah in my old cherokee it had a 231c t-case and the chain started streching and the bushings on the shift forks wore away and it was making horrible noises, those are 2 things that wear out on 231 cases commonly with high miles or hard use in my opion just get another t-case and swap another one in or transfer the good parts. thats my 2 cents

Mar 6, 2010 · Rebuilt a NP231 to throw in my brothers 98 ZJ. The torque spec on the front yoke nut is 90+ fl. lbs. We torque it to 90 but can not move the yoke..... everything seems to be installed correctly.

May 1, 2011 · It says on the Novak site that the NP231 is “well mated to V8 power”, but I know that 5.13 gears, 35” tires and difficult terrain can make that statement questionable. I read on just about every Jeep forum that all you have to do is find a 231C for 50 bucks on Craig’s List to get the wide chain and gears, and then find a 241D HD and ...
