NGC 1512 - Wikipedia
NGC 1512 is a barred spiral galaxy approximately 38 million light-years away from Earth [2] in the constellation Horologium. The galaxy displays a double ring structure, with a (nuclear) ring around the galactic nucleus and an (inner) further out in the main disk.

Barred Spiral Galaxy NGC 1512 in Many Wavelengths
2001年5月31日 · NGC 1512 is a barred spiral galaxy in the southern constellation of Horologium. Located 30 million light-years away, relatively "nearby" as galaxies go, it is bright enough to be seen with amateur telescopes. The galaxy spans 70,000 light-years, nearly as much as our own Milky Way galaxy.
Webb and Hubble's Views of Spiral Galaxy NGC 1512
2024年1月29日 · Hubble’s image of NGC 1512 shows a densely populated face-on barred spiral galaxy anchored by its central region, which is white at the core, with light pink circles moving outward, eventually forming a bright blue outer ring with an overlaid brown circle of dust.
Galaxy NGC 1512 - NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)
1999年12月1日 · The image reveals a stunning 2,400 light-year-wide circle of infant star clusters in the center of NGC 1512. Located 30 million light-years away in the southern constellation of Horologium, NGC 1512 is a neighbor of our Milky Way galaxy.
Hubble unveils a galaxy in living colour | ESA/Hubble
2001年5月31日 · In this view of the centre of the magnificent barred spiral galaxy NGC 1512, the NASA / ESA Hubble Space Telescope's broad spectral vision reveals the galaxy at all wavelengths from ultraviolet through to infrared.
Interacting Galaxies NGC 1512 and NGC 1510 - NASA Science
2023年7月25日 · NGC 1512, the large galaxy to the left in this image, is classified as a barred spiral, named after the bar composed of stars, gas, and dust slicing through its center. The tiny NGC 1510 to the right, on the other hand, is a dwarf galaxy.
APOD: 2017 August 7 - Spiral Galaxy NGC 1512: The Inner Ring
2017年8月7日 · Spiral Galaxy NGC 1512: The Inner Ring Image Credit: NASA, ESA, Hubble Space Telescope. Explanation: Most galaxies don't have any rings -- why does this galaxy have two? To begin, the bright band near NGC 1512's center is a nuclear ring, a ring that surrounds the galaxy center and glows brightly with recently formed stars.
NGC 1512 and NGC 1510 - ESA/Hubble
2017年7月27日 · This composite image, created out of two different pointings from Hubble, shows the barred spiral galaxy NGC 1512 (left) and the dwarf galaxy NGC 1510 (right). Both galaxies are about 30 million light-years away from Earth and currently in the process of merging.
In Living Color - NASA Science
2008年8月14日 · NASA's Hubble Space Telescope reveals the center of the magnificent barred spiral galaxy NGC 1512 in all wavelengths from ultraviolet to infrared. The colors (which indicate differences in light intensity) map where newly born star clusters exist in both 'dusty' and 'clean' regions of the galaxy.
