Mar 18, 2021 · From some of the briefings that I have gotten, the MQ-25 is a cool airplane with some capabilities that, assuming the Navy will use them, can make it a viable weapons system and value added (beyond a recovery tanker) for the CSG. If the RPA/UAS community is what you want to do career-wise, I'd recommend to go either to the USAF or the ANG.

Jul 24, 2017 · MQ-25 is allegedly stealthy. Why? To make it harder for the FNG to find the tanker in the stack? Also, it's going to allegedly use an ARS. Why? having an internal pod wouldn't be more fuel efficient? I highly suspect we'll see a lot of mission creep with this platform, and that there are political reasons it's being rammed down the Navy's throat.

Mar 11, 2024 · Overland (or near to land) power projection against a peer adversary probably isn't it. IMHO, it's blue water supremacy and Rhino/Growler/JSF aren't going to get us there with their limited range and payload (regardless of MQ-25 status). Again, just my opinion but hopefully this helps/sparks discussion/makes sense.

If you look at TRITON, the manpower requirements are jynormous. I know when unmanned, autonomous platforms were just a sparkle in the eye of the defense...
