MTS2000 Programming Need help getting started
2017年1月21日 · I took the MTS2000 HTs to my local radio shop to ask about getting them to program. He has the cable but said the version of software needed to program MTS2000 FLASHPORT models is different from plain MTS2000 models. He has the software for the regular MTS2000 but said it will not recognize or work on FLASHPORT versions.

2016年8月21日 · Motorola used to use a box called a RIB. This did the level interface between the PC's RS-232 serial port and the TTL level used to talk to the radio. A true Motorola RIB is a good thing to have if you plan on programming different types of older Motorola radios. They are a bit pricey for a -true- Motorola RIB.

I bought the necessary cables: RIBless cable and usb to 9 pin serial cable. I also downloaded the MTS2000 CPS Programming software. Then I hooked the radio to the computer.

Use just enough force to separate the chassis retainer tabs. Too much and the thin retaining wall will break. Correct. The MTS2000 is the only Jedi that had CPS released for it. Last version dates to 2008 ...

2020年4月8日 · Just hex edit the CPS band limits. Given the very OLD age of the MTS2000 it's not really worth the time for the hardware mods to be done. MCS2000's generally work ok, but a few will need strip line VCO work if they are temp sensative. MTS2000's usually, but not all do talk around and software mod to cover 902 ham. MTX9000 ALL require hardware mods.
