If you want to read more of the story, continuing into adulthood and beyond, then you can read the webmanga Hori-san to Miyamura-kun written and drawn by HERO, the original author, and not Daisuke Hagiwara, the mangaka who drew and adapted Horimiya. As far as I am aware there is no official english translation.

I know that the sex scene between Hori and Miyamura is really different, with Sengoku's parents being there with Hori's and the brother finding the unopened condom and Miyamura admitting they did it unprotected at her behest.

2021年3月20日 · Ok, so it ain’t perfect, but there are a ton of things to love about this anime. Miyamura is my bisexual son, the side stories are decently interesting, the directing is solid, and the comedy is stellar. But there’s one thing that could either be the show’s high point or its downfall. Hori. Oh Hori.

2022年3月19日 · Me too. I was a lot like Miyamura was before Hori. I had really bad social anxiety so I lived like Miyamura, on the outside of things. Him climbing out of that hell resonated with me. I think I've rewatched this anime the most just because how close it feels to what I went through.
