Aug 10, 2019 · I have a Minn Kota Maxxum 70 TM on my 2001 Triton. it came on the boat when I got it but not sure it was the original The cover on the head was broken as well as a couple other issues but I replaced those and its been working fine for two years now.

May 13, 2017 · I started having a weird issue with my Maxxum 70 a few weeks ago. I can put the speed control on say "20" and it will run at what I think is 20. With no rhyme or reason, suddenly the motor will be running at speed "10" or so without me having moved the speed control knob.

Jun 5, 2015 · I have looked all over and the control boards cost between $130-160. I was wondering if I could just put a whole new pedal on it. I found a Pedal off a Minn Kota All Terrain that has the same speed adjustments but its for a 36 Volt and my Maxxum is 24, I imagine I would just have an extra wire or two I wouldnt hook up, but this is only 40 bucks.

Anyhow I installed a full rebuild kit with everything, new brush plate, and went out last night to test out, the motor is turning backwards, how could this be?

Mar 12, 2013 · Several differences, but depends on the ones your comparing. Maxxum come in 70 and 80 and the 70 can be a 5 speed or variable. The 80 is variable. The Maxxum 70 5speed is the same trolling motor as the Edge 70 5speed --BTW, both have lights. Difference is the mount. Obviously the Maxxum mount is heavier and includes the breakaway bowguard.

May 30, 2017 · I have a Minn Kota Maxxum 70 lb thrust 24V. About two weeks ago the trolling motor stopped working. I pulled it out of the water and put it back in and it started working again. I thought no problem. Well over the past two weeks its gotten progressively worse. To the point were I am having to pull it up and put it back in the water all the time.

Sep 19, 2018 · Noticed something strange the last 2 times out on my Maxxum 80. Set the dial anywhere from 0 - 65 or above 90 and it's great, nothing unusual. If I set it at 70 to 85 it makes a squealing noise, not real loud but noticeable.
