I feel as though they're slowly decreasing the average housing cost that BAH covers with the expectation that the service member will pay %5-10+ out of pocket based on the average in your area.

2022年12月14日 · BAH where I'm at went up 20% for single sailors. I live in base housing rn and Im paying 300 out of pocket. With these new rates I'm going to be paying double out of pocket because dependent BAH got such a big increase and base housing always charges dependent rates. I might be forced to move out soon since I would not be able to afford it.
