Michael Herbert Schur (born October 29, 1975 [1][2][3]) is an American television producer, writer, director, and actor. He started his career as a writer for Saturday Night Live (1997–2004) before gaining acclaim as a writer and producer of the NBC sitcom The Office (2005–2013), where he also played Mose Schrute.
