2014年3月14日 · Meyto Shrine today served as one of the undiscovered tourists’ spots in the mainstream. The local government is doing its best to promote the shrine to the public in several programs they have formed.

Meyto Shrine. This is the cradle of Christianity in the province, where the first Catholic Mass was held by the Augustinian friars, armed with cross in 1572.

Meyto Shrine. The Meyto Shrine marks the cradle of Christianity in western Bulacan, where a wooden cross was first planted and first mass in the region was said in May 1572. The shrine, located in the western part of town, is also the site of the original church of Calumpit, predating the existing one in the town centre.
