This is my first boat and I think its a good starter. With that said I cannot leave things alone and know Im gonna want some more power.

2008年4月17日 · The Alpha is a very good match for the small block motors. The Bravo weighs more, and takes more power to run, resulting in a slower boat. Unless you are going to run well over 400hp, and beat on the sticks, stick with the Alpha. BTW there is an after market company selling NEW Alpha drives for dirt cheap. 2010年3月22日 · My Bravo 1 outdrive has two small stainless steel wires on the bottom of the gimball up close to the transom, that appear to be some sort of safety or limit device. One is frayed and broken. Does anyone know what these wires are for? Is it something most Mercruiser dealers would stock or a factory part? Running a 496 MAG in a 25' Lightning.

After oil has drained completely, install the drain plug in the oil drain hose. 7. Push the hose through bilge drain and install the plug.

2013年1月28日 · The gen two has a 90 degree shift arm that fits into the upper shift cam and is hard to screw up. To check just put selector in neutral and spin prop both ways and it should spin freely, now put it into forward and it should lock to the left and ratchet to the right.

2021年4月4日 · Working on a 97 Maxum with 5.7L stern drive alpha One gen 2 and I replaced some seals on the upper drive. Got to the water compartment below the top cover and there is a mystery ball in there I cannot tell what it is. I tapped a bit and it did go down very little. I am including a picture of it.
