Grinder vs stuffer? - Smoking Meat Forums
2024年9月23日 · A 5# stuffer is a small investment. Really makes a superior product. Other than being a struggle generally using a grinder to stuff, but you get a lot more air in the sausage casing with a grinder too. It’s just not a very quality product that way.

2014年4月27日 · The grinder stuffer combo units work but you can stuff way faster using a dedicated stuffer because you fill up the stuffer with 4 lbs. of meat or more at a time.. I have a Gander Mountain 5lb stuffer and it works really nice.

2024年9月23日 · I agree with 90% of the post. For sausage 30mm tubes take work and time in my 22# grinder. BUT for making ground meat stuffer is no time saver. This year bought a 2" stuffing tube. Take venison and fat and coarse grind. Chill then mix venison and fat. Second grind through plate about 3/16" holes through 2" horn direct into 1LB meat bags.

2014年3月4日 · Go for a cheap stuffer. Trying to stuff with a less than commercial grinder make folks go crazy. Now when you get a Hobart I take it back..lol. I always made do with the lever action 3 pound model. Very efficient for a one man operation and Mama dont allow bolt holes in her cabinet. Just dont get cute and try to stuff cured meat with it.

2014年1月15日 · We grinded up 10 pounds of venison and pork butt for breakfast sausage. The grinder works awesome. I then attached the biggest stuffing horn to fill 1 to 1 1/2 pound sausage bags (you know, the white ones meant for ground meat). The stuffer attachment worked, but it was really slow. I bet it took 2-3 minutes per bag. Not a big deal for 10 pounds.

2022年1月4日 · Grinder is 2nd, but you can buy ground meat or use a processor and be ok... but stuffing with your grinder vs a dedicated stuffer, is the biggest quality improvement you can do for sausage IMO. It really is a great grinder, too bad theor 50lb mixer won't hook to it, only the 1.5hp. However, a Walton’s 50lb motorized can be made to work.

2024年3月22日 · It just shredded it and clogged up. Then after reading the instructions, it says it can't slice/shred cheese of meat. That's all I'm interested in slicing/shredding, so in the trash it goes. It also includes a stuffer attachment, which we all know won't work well. In the trash. I tested it with semi-frozen brisket strips and chunks:

2023年7月17日 · I haven't much luck with the meat grinder or sausage stuffer on the kitchen aid. Mine is the all plastic attachment. Luckily, i have my father-in-laws cast iron stuffer. It has the meat wasting bottom horn, but the first 8# is great. Look around. Maybe you can find one at a yard sale or flea market
