I noticed during the test drive when I turned on Navigation I got some message to the effect of "Navigation Ready. Purchase an SD card from the dealer." However, I just bought a 2024 CX 5 and I’m more than sympathetic to the disgust at the charge of the SD card for navigation. I just plug in my iPhone. I still carry a few paper maps, one of my county, one of my state and one of the northeast because I like to get the broad overview.

2022年12月6日 · Amazon still has the SD card for sale. And Apple CarPlay and Mazda Nav are two different systems. You don't need to buy an SD card if you plan to use Apple CarPlay 100% of the time. I use Android Auto 100% of the time as well. I only got the SD card as a backup navigation method if my phone dies or stops working.
