MaxxPro XL is an enlarged version of the MaxxPro, capable of accommodating up to 10 people, equipped with three armored windows instead of two. MRV – 250 recovery vehicles capable of repairing damaged MaxxPros, where 140 units, ordered on July 18, 2011, are to be equipped with RPG protection nets.

The XL is classified as a Category 2 MRAP; that classification being for the mid-level vehicles (by weight, size and capacity) of the three (3) classes of MRAP vehicles. All the other MaxxPro Vehicle Versions are classifeid as Category 1 MRAP's.
