The Massachusetts State Police Academy is a state-of-the-art law enforcement training facility designed to provide both recruits and in-service law enforcement personnel with the tools they need to achieve excellence.

The Massachusetts State Police Academy is located on 780 acres in rural New Braintree. All State Police recruit training is based here. Recruits attend a twenty-five week, modified stress, live-in academy, consisting of over ninety different courses of instruction.

As part of the process of becoming a full-fledged State Trooper, recruits must complete a comprehensive training program at the State Police Academy, located in New Braintree, Massachusetts. Recruits will live at the State Police Academy Monday through Friday throughout their training period.
