My greatest love in knitting is, first and foremost, working with yarns that knit up beautifully, wash well and feel good to knit with and, secondly, creating knit designs that are eminently wearable but also special – ideally designs that will stand the test of time and become favourite heirloom pieces that you wear and wear again.

Easy-to-knit designs feature garments, accessories and home knits including fitted and unstructured cardigans and jackets, accessories such as scarves, a shawl, a cowl and mittens, plus a cushion and a throw for the home.

Nordic Cushions (Nordic Knits) – Downloadable Pattern £4.50 This is a great traditional Scandinavian design, with its little reindeers alternating with hearts, in a classic dark red and beige colourway.

This wide unisex Fairisle scarf is a really cosy winter knit. It is knitted in two colours only in Rowan Felted Tweed DK in Seafarer and Clay.

Herbaceous Throw (Knitting Pretty) – Downloadable Pattern £4.50 This wonderfully textured patchwork throw has two alternating flower-themed squares emplying both bobble and lace sguares with moss stitch borders.

Knitted in Rowan Softyak DK, this neat and pretty cardigan features paired plain and twisted cables on the fronts with a textured stitch pattern on the back and sleeves. Hems, cuffs, neck and buttonbands are all ribbed.
