Marichat is the ship between Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Chat Noir. Other names include Marinoir and Chatinette. In-canon, both Ladybug and Chat Noir are (not-so) blissfully unaware of their secret identities, thinking that it would keep them from becoming too attached to one another.

So MariChat works because she is relaxed around him, and she's not super wary as she is when she's LB w/CN about exposing her identity or disturbing their partnership dynamic.
