I couldn't bring myself to spring for Festool at the time. one thing for sure is the Makita guide track at 55" limits the length of the single cut you can make to about 4 feet. they don't make a longer rail, so if you want longer cuts you have to stop mid cut and move the rail. unless things have changed they make other size rail, but only smaller.

2008年8月12日 · The cordless angle grinder works fine for smaller jobs. But heavy duty stuff, like grinding on a cement floor to take out humps and such it suffers. The battery will overheat, and shut down.

It has done a million miles on the stone wheels it came with and often needs a hand spin to start, but should last until my last weld. 2018年3月31日 · I used a variable speed Makita 4 1/2" disc grinder set on the slowest speed with a flexible sanding disc. I wouldn't recommend trying to use a single speed 10,000 rpm grinder. There's lots of useful information here...

2015年6月29日 · Whatever you decide, try and get as many tools as you can with a common battery. The biggest problem with DIY'ers is they don't use them enough to keep the batteries in good condition. Get a drill, angle grinder, recipro saw, whisper snippet, jobsite radio, the whole shebang, all using the same batteries.

2022年2月6日 · I don't even bother with the flap disks. I just use regular coated sanding disks on either my 4" Makita or 7" Craftsman (Industrial) angle grinders. 24 grit takes anything off fast. Then 36, 60, 80 etc.
