2019年3月30日 · It doesn't help the proximity to the window in which my printer is located. My current desk furniture and my 3rd bedroom/office layout won't allow an alternative arrangement so an enclosure made perfect sense for me. Aside from the obvious benefits of the enclosure it also blocks A LOT of the noise emitted by the printer.

2014年7月8日 · When the printer gets to the start of Layer 50 it should pause and drop the bed, at this point you can drop in the nut (making sure its low enough to clear the hot end when it resumes) or you can use the jog controls to retract and change your filament if you are just changing colors.

2015年1月21日 · Almost certainly, there's a G92 Z instruction in the Start G-Code block that gets glued to the front of the instructions sent to the printer. The numeric value hardcoded in that instruction overrides everything else you tweak in all the firmware. It's part of the initial homing dance the printer does before each print, so you can't remove it.

2015年2月25日 · Under Devices and Printers in Windows 7, the printer is listed under COM4 as well and reported to be "working properly." I tried everything: unplugging the printer, pressing the little reset button to the left of the USB cable socket, rebooting the computer even -- nothing works. It feels like the printer is completely unresponsive!

2016年3月6日 · The user guides suggest not running the machine through USB but I'd really love to just get back to running the machine with simplify 3D. Unfortunately I haven't stumbled across any literature yet about how to do that. I'll be clear, years ago when I got my M2 it was the first 3d printer I'd ever bought and indeed seen or used.

2014年7月25日 · There are clear instructions online for setting it all up, then the printer is run completely from the raspberry pi, and you control/upload gcode via a web interface from your computer. One big advantage over SD, is that uploads to Octoprint are super-fast, vs the terrible transfer rates trying to copy to the SD via the printer.
