2023年2月20日 · I have switched to macOS recently. The only thing that's disturbing me now is the missing the tilde sign (~). The closest thing I achieved to this sign is the accent tilde (˜). This accent tilde won't work with my current passwords. I'm using a U.S International PC keyboard layout. How do I make the tilde sign work on my Mac?

MacOS Ventuera (and perhaps some earlier) tar has a --no-mac-metadata option that excludes these. You can also use --exclude to filter out .DS_Store files. The following worked for me: tar --no-mac-metadata --exclude ".DS_Store" -cvf Firmware.tgz Firmware

2024年11月6日 · Since the update to macOS Sequoia 15.1, I've had the problem that the connection disconnects with some SMB servers when copying large files from the server to itself. Copying files from the computer to the server works, as does copying from the server to the computer. In other posts, the firewall has already been mentioned, but it is not active.

2025年2月1日 · I recently upgraded my Mac Studio to MacOS 15.3, but unfortunately, my SonicWall VPN connection is no longer working. All the servers at work are nowhere to be found. This was working perfectly before the upgrade. I’ve also found that other friends from my company, who use a Mac, are having the same issue. Any ideas on how we can fix this?

2019年6月18日 · On macOS Ventura 13 or later: Go to System Settings app → Keyboard Shortcuts... and you can assign keyboard shortcuts to move across Spaces (desktops). You can also use the F3 (Mission Control) key on your Mac's keyboard to get a birds eye view of all the Spaces (desktops in Mac parlance) and quickly and directly switch to the desired one.

2024年11月8日 · macos that my internal SSD is getting low on space. I do have around 80.000 photos stored on a external 4TB SSD (with 2TB . free space). Is it possible to make the "com.apple.mediaanalysisd" to . use that SSD instead? or is there a way to turn is this process or make . is stop filling out my entire internal SSD? im on the latest version of MacOS!

2025年1月20日 · I recently upgraded my desktop and laptop to macOS 15.2 Sequoia. I develop several websites and run local web servers on different ports on each machine. I used to be able to connect from one machine to the web service on the other across the local LAN, but since the upgrade to Sequoia, I cannot connect to some services.
