It's possible that Spike may still be alive, provided that MLP dragons follow Tolkienian dragon lore, where they age like trees (get bigger with age, and are basically immune to dying of old age). However, because we see the rest of the Mane Six get older in the Season 9 timeskip, they're certainly dead by now.
