A superb late-war, boxed example of the MGZ40 model optic (and collimator!) as used in conjunction with the MG34/42 when fitted to the heavy Lafette tripod. This particular set retains the original tan paint throughout and both parts are matching maker coded 'cme', denoting the Hilderbrann Wickmann Werke manufacturer.

2010年5月3日 · There really isn't a scope specifically for the MG42. There is the MGZ 34 which was designed to be used with the MG34 mount and used throughout the war, then there is the MGZ40 which was developed after reports came in to the army that the high mounted eyepiece on the scope was resulting in a loss of machinegunners.
