MFJ coaxial antenna switch issue. - RadioReference.com Forums
2025年2月20日 · IMO those MFJ lightning protection switches are a defective design that may work with some combinations of antennas where the RF ground is earth ground (like verticals). But with any combination of dipoles that have a floating RF ground they won't work if you expect your tuned SWR to be what you got without the switch in the circuit.

MFJ reprints Ed Noll Antenna book - RadioReference.com Forums
2019年1月9日 · Some time ago MFJ offered a free download of a PDF book of dipole and long-wire antennas by Ed Noll. It was originally published in the 60s but reprinted in 1992. I had downloaded the book but completely forgot I had it. It's a pretty big download - just over 76MB - so I can't post it here or on the wiki.
Opinions: multi-band vertical vs. rotatable dipole
2017年3月7日 · You might find the small antenna filling in where you wire has a null. That's not to say the super short MFJ antennas work well, they just might work better than the worst null on your wire. One antenna I had that was a little similar to the MFJs you mention was the Cushcraft MA5V 20 through 10m vertical.

Using a MFJ antenna analyzer | RadioReference.com Forums
2009年6月16日 · So I put up a 2 meter antenna on the house. Used Belden 9913 coax. I hook up the MFJ 259B analyzer, says the match is a beautiful thing. But also says I have 5.8 dB loss in the coax. I'm sure folks here have used the MFJ, is this thing saying that I'm losing half my signal in the coax? Is the "loss in the coax" reading an accurate reading?
