2017年6月4日 · MDI/MDI-X is how the port's pins are assigned/connected, for example which pin is TX and which RX. This to insure one side's TX pin connects to the other side's RX pin. Correct pin connections are obtained by either reversing some connections in the cable or one of the ports. Traditionally, to connect "like" ports, you needed a "cross over" cable.

2019年3月9日 · The MDI port will transmit on pins 1,2 and the MDI-X will receive on pins 3,6. And vice versa. Physically, unless there is a visual indicator such as an LED above the port, there is no way to tell how a port is configured.
