Aug 2, 2020 · The way I read it, the M190 is used when the truck has an open front diff, and the M210 is for the locking version. So, open=190, locker=210. So, the locker gives a size upgrade. Which is nice, since they didn't have to. Colorado ZR2 has a locking front in the M190, so Ford could've gone that way.

The front open style differential comes with and without a Front Axle Disconnect Actuator. ELD The front ELD is a device housed in the front axle.

Dec 9, 2022 · The wheels didn’t spin but I do believe it pulled/put a lot of stress on the front passenger side of the drivetrain, I lost 4wd and have a nasty bind/grinding sound any time the front axle disconnect locks up. I’m hoping to have the m190 pulled out this week to see what let go inside, but I’m pretty certain it was the intermediate shaft.

Nov 16, 2023 · M190 = Dana 35 (while it could be semantics, the D35 is typically a M186) M220 = Dana 44 M235 = Dana 50 (this seems to be a new offering specifically for the Raptor as the axle that is above a D44 would be a D60). Dana Advantek ring and pinion gears are the same strength no matter what gear ratio they represent--in the same axle size.

Nov 20, 2023 · Those M190 axles are designed for 32" tires, maybe 33", right? And the M210 Sasquatch axle upgrade is made for 35" tires? So you must have been hoping for axle failure on 37's so you can buy the upgraded axles and have an even better car?

Jan 12, 2023 · Anyone have any problems with their Dana M190 AdvanTEK Front Differential (non-SAS)? I've got a clicking/thud/vibration sound that increases with speed/tire rotation. Dealer thinks it might be front diff. Waiting on parts. Dealer hasn't taken it part yet to confirm.

Aug 29, 2022 · The rear can be re geared nonreason for entire new. You will need a carrier and gears as the ring gear is welded unless you have the rear locker. The front is where you may need the new front different unit. I'm not sure how low of gears the m190 can take. Ford does offer the front 4.46 and 4.70 front different and gears as performance parts.
