Feb 14, 2024 · Last Lupron shot was May 18, it was 90 day shot so by August it began "clearing" my system. By October, T was 135, by February 19, 400+ and before we went back on treatment in Apr 23, 600+. If you've done a literature search, there are some statistics that say nearly 80% of men do not recover T, yikes!
Lupron generated hot flashes: Any tips on how to manage them?

Side effects so far manageable but intense hot flashes along with severe and deep bone pain are 'pushing the envelope'. Any suggestions on natural based coping stategies. May 26, 2022 · When I started Lupron (4 month shot), my neurologist did acknowledge that my osteoarthritis in my right knee would "get worse." After the second month, my right knee was swollen 24/7, stiff, and limited my walking. I now need a cane to get around. I told my oncologist I did not want another shot of Lupron.

Oct 6, 2020 · I was diagnosed with prostate cancer via a prostate biopsy in Feb. of '20. Prostate biopsy had 1 positive out of 12. It was a 3+3 Gleason score of 6. I had a 16 week Lupron injection on April 14th and started 39 radiation treatments on June 10. I had a 12 week Lupron injection on Aug. 4 and the last radiation treatment of Aug.5.

Nov 26, 2023 · As for me, I had my second (and last) Lupron shot in August last year (2022), I still have NOT gotten my testosterone back in range. I still have NOT gotten my muscle mass back. I have NOT been able to walk to the store for over a year. I used to walk 3 or 4 miles with NO problems. I realize my age (86) is a major reason for my slow recovery.

Jun 19, 2023 · I am 73 and was diagnosed last November with stage 4 prostate cancer which had metastasized to my bones from thigh to skull. The meandering pain throughout my body was unbearable. I received my first Lupron shot in early November and the pain disappeared within days. Side effects included night sweats, fatigue and insomnia (strange combination).
