Long Way Round (LWR) is a British television series and book documenting the 19,000-mile (31,000 km) journey of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman from London to New York City on motorcycles. They travelled eastwards through Europe and Asia, flew to Alaska, and continued by road to New York.

Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman embark on a grueling quest to motorbike from London to New York. Going east through Europe, Asia and then to Alaska, they experience different cultures and have to overcome the elements and adversity.

After making the first extended stop of their journey in Prague, Ewan and Charley continue onward to the Ukrainian border. Battling some of the world's worst-kept roads and meeting native woolly camels, the guys get a shock when a local points a gun at them.

Long Way Round From London to New York, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman chased their shadows through Europe, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia, across the Pacific to Alaska, then down through Canada and America.

Watch as two friends ride around the world together and, against all the odds, realize their dream. Ewan and Charley prepare for their adventure, including lessons for kidnap avoidance, fitness training, first aid, and vaccinations.
