Mar 3, 2019 · Hey guys, after hurting my back this weekend lifting logs on my log splitter I'm strongly considering adding a log lift to it. My splitter is a 30 ton Northstar splitter, which can go vertical, but I do not like running it that way, and I find it to be really hard on the back as well, maneuvering the logs around each time.

It's probably the most popular log splitter here, being made by Speeco, under at least half a dozen different brand names. It has an 11 second cycle time, with a 190cc motor on an 11 GPM pump and a 4" x 24" cylinder, for $999.

Nov 19, 2013 · Personally, I've become a fan of the in-beam log catcher as shown on that Champion model. That feature helps a lot to keep logs centered on the beam without having to wrestle them as much. I first saw them over 10 years ago on SpeeCo made splitters, which have been available under variety of brand names (Huskee, CountyLine, Bad Boy, etc.).

Apr 22, 2010 · I've been absent for a while frying other fish, but I thought I'd post a review of a Tractor Supply Huskee (SpeeCo) 22 ton log splitter I recently bought. I've run about three tanks of gas through the splitter and so far so good. I was concerned a bit about the 22 tons vs 35 ton splitters I see and the cycle time.

Jun 3, 2015 · I recently went thru the splitter shopping experience, I had some very specific wants, like a flow thru design (fixed wedge), log lift and 4 and 6 way wedges and American made. These wants pushed me more toward the commercial splitters and a higher price then you want to pay, but I learned a few things while looking.

Jan 12, 2010 · I liked the idea of a hydraulic vs screw type press. Having a log splitter, and like others, I thought that might be a good way to go. I found the one made by Titan Mfg, and liked the concept. However, I couldn't find any US distribution and didn't want to buy another log splitter.
