2019 Gibson Les Paul Traditional vs Les Paul Standard 50’s
2020年4月3日 · There's also a used 50s Standard (2022) on sale at my area. The 50s Standard is 33% more expensive than the Traditional. Reading forums and looking at the specs the two guitars seem very similar: fat neck, same pickups etc. Guess I'll go with the Traditional.

2020年7月26日 · And the flat back of the neck makes it nice to solo on when you drop your thumb down behind the neck more. Overall I would say the 50s is closer to a 1960 Les Paul neck. You can see here an LP Traditional 50s profile, which is the same as the current 50s LP Standard how it compares to historic models:
Gibson Standard ‘50s vs 2018 Reissues - The Gear Page
2020年12月30日 · The CS reissue Les Pauls are closer to the original '1950's Les Pauls then the standard production line LP's are. More attention to the body top carving (although not absolutely spot on), cutaway horn shape, peghead shape and size, plastics, wood quality, etc. There are a lot of differences to a trained eye, not to mention how they play and sound.

2021年5月5日 · I have a 50s standard and I have 3 other Gibsons with 60s slim taper neck profiles. I find the guitars pretty much interchangeable. I think my Eric Johnson has a fatter neck than either. As for the pickups, I didn't play the 60s plugged in. BUT I am shocked at how clear and articulate the burstbuckers are on the 50s standard. Mine is a joy to play.

2019年8月6日 · Thread resurrection. So my 2020 Wildwood Select Les Paul Standard 50s is said to have no weight relief - I don't have an x-ray machine, but I'll believe Wildwood which is an awesome store. The top is insane and it is a one-piece mahogany back. Good news is the guitar weighs 9 lbs 1 oz which isn't that heavy in my book for a non weight relieved ...
