Apr 30, 2018 · LSA is the only lubricant I use on most weapons until it gets up to the Minigun or the MK-19/GMG then I use TW-25. I have been using LSA since I got in the military many years ago. Yes while it does separate, that is normal: It needs to be shaken before use. It stays on pretty well and does not burn off near as fast as CLP.

May 17, 2020 · I used LSA for a little while and really liked it. Mine came in the glue like bottle with the twist cap. You have to make sure you shake it to the point it comes out thick. It's an original Vietnam issued lubricant. They would issue a can of LSA and some solvent and the original problem with jammed M16s went away. I say use it.

Feb 7, 2005 · the m16a2 operators manual says you can use lsa on the m16. but it is the second pick. clp has tefon in it. lsa dose not. so they made lsa-t with teflon. but thats for the mk-19 and m2 machine guns. lsa and lsa-t is thicker than clp so i like to use it.

LSA is really only a lubricant, so you have to use something like RBC(Rifle Bore Cleaner) or other solvent in order to actually clean. The advantage seems obvious on the surface.
