In Japan, they usually call each other by their last name (Arisu and Usagi are also the characters last names for example), except close family members sometimes call each other by first name. So calling Kuina by her first name Hikari is actually showing love, not contempt/dead naming.

2021年1月23日 · So Alice becomes Arisu. Queen becomes “Queen-ah” or Kuina. Adding the vowel sound to the end of “Queen” is what a Japanese speaker would do to the word, “Queen”. I agree that Kuina tracks to the caterpillar because of the smoking aspect but her name is truly and literally Light Queen. Go figure.
