Jan 12, 2024 · Kitsune is an open source fork with some different approaches on root hiding (uses some Magisk Hide features that used to be present on old Magisk versions, before its dev joined Google). It is good, but some banks may have problems with it. Shamiko is a closed source module by same devs of Alpha fork.

Instead of granting the SU capabilities for all apps and having a DenyList that specifically says which apps don't get to see the root, Kitsune uses an "allow list" of selected applications that get to see the root instead, and all other apps remain unchanged.

Jan 26, 2024 · Alpha is best for Zygisk, but Kitsune is more convenient to use SU List as it only makes root visible to those apps in the list and you'd not have to bother about hiding everything else, basically the opposite of Normal and Alpha.
