Judge Peaquin was unanimously appointed by the King County Council to the District Court in November of 2023. He is currently assigned to the East Division, Redmond Courthouse, where he hears criminal and civil matters.

As of November 2018, the court has 53 judges who have general jurisdiction to hear major civil and criminal cases. [ needs update ] The court also has appellate jurisdiction over certain decisions of the district courts, municipal courts, and administrative tribunals.

Judge Robertson was unanimously appointed to the King County District Court in 2021 and elected in 2022. She is currently the Court's Chief Presiding Judge. Prior to taking the bench in King County, she served as a municipal court judge in Federal Way for 12 years.
